Our EdTech pod joins the dots between data and the future of work. In line with growing demand, the pod is expanding, and I’m thrilled to welcome Carol Kelly as our new Project Manager.

Carol brings bags of experience of managing projects in the digital space for the likes of PepsiCo, Magento and Mindful Chef.

I sat down with Carol to find out more about her experiences and making the move into data.

Are there any projects you’ve managed that really stood out to you personally?

Before joining the digital agency world, I started my project management career as a coordinator for Satellite Applications Catapult, where I had the opportunity to work on a project monitoring illegal fishing in the Pitcairn Islands. It was by far my standout project to date. I was able to travel to Chile to take the proposal directly to the Chilean Navy and experience both military and South American culture and work processes. Not only were we able to show them how we could use satellite data to help them but, once implemented, they were able to improve their detection and prosecution rates by up to 80%.”

What most excites you about joining infogr8, and the EdTech pod in particular?

“Joining a company that produces with purpose is what excites me the most about infogr8. I’ve been looking for a company that supports causes that sit with my own personal moral compass, and infogr8 is just that! I’m looking forward to spending my work days facilitating the creative process that has such a wider social impact and supporting the emerging EdTech community along the way.”

What are you most passionate about when it comes to the future of work?

“Data visualisation is a new field for me, but I love to learn and I know I’m in good hands with the team of experts here. New ideas also come from anywhere and anyone, so I’m looking forward to being able to contribute where I can immerse myself in the process and be a part of the evolution of the company as it grows.”

Welcome Carol! It’s great to have you on board.
