Which household items would you rescue if your house was on fire? Only 18% of UK adults would follow the official advice to leave all belongings behind, according to Nest’s survey on attitudes to Fire Safety across Europe. Instead, 48% would rescue their mobile phone and 47% their wallet or purse – costing them precious seconds that, in a house fire, could be fatal. Nest wanted to highlight this and other poignant stories emerging from the research as part of a wider communications campaign.

We produced an infographic highlighting key facts and statistics from five European countries, accompanied by a parallel series of illustrated data cards – small, bite-sized infographic modules that can be circulated individually on social media. The infographic and data cards were then translated into several different European languages.
