The Mastercard Foundation were looking for a partner to help them understand how best to visualise the impact of their funding programmes across Africa and Canada.
They needed an interactive tool so that the Board and their Executive Committee could report on progress, while supporting high-level strategic decision-making across the organisation.
infogr8 worked with the Mastercard Foundation to map out their data, to understand what was most important, and to evidence this to internal audiences. We developed, iterated and consulted to create the most accessible and insightful design to meet their needs.
Our interactive reporting tool delivers a high-level view of investment and impact globally. Diving deeper, users can drill into the detail and surface information across countries, interventions and sectors over time.
Ultimately, we wanted to evidence how the Mastercard Foundation is progressing towards their mission: to advance education and financial inclusion to catalyse prosperity in developing countries and to support indigenous young people in Canada. This includes helping economically disadvantaged young people in Africa to find opportunities to move themselves and their communities out of poverty and into a better life.
The Mastercard Foundation Integrated Reporting Platform allows users to drill down into country details and view data over time and via different slicers such as by sector or by programme. The platform also features a timeline evidencing the Foundation’s impact since 2006.
A highlight of the integrated platform is the ability to intuitively view the data and its context side-by-side. The UX and design is simple yet smart, bringing together a wealth of data without ever feeling complicated. Hover prompts and pop-ups add an extra layer of engagement and insight for a broad range of stakeholders.
