Ape society is much like human society: everyone fulfills an important role. They have different beliefs. Different skills. And different personalities. Not only do we love Byron, we’re getting quite an appetite for their visual content lately. What better way to ask their customers what special to put on the menu than to compare the options visually? The only thing we can think of better is for Byron to make a custom half half burger especially for our very own plate licker Ben Willers who eats all the gherkins from everyones plate, efficient. Byron, we put you to the challenge!… (show a map that links infogr8 to Byron in Farringdon.
Check out Subaru’s impressive National Park Zero-Landfill initiative, it’s part of Love Promise, their company-wide commitment to protecting the earth and making a positive impact out in the world. The timeline, visualised as annual rings of a tree trunk, tells the story from 1989 to today on Sabaru’s efforts in improving the environment.
Beard Design 2015 Year in Review
Visual reports are becoming increasingly popular — and rightly so! Who wants to read a report from the 90’s with heaps of text? Humans are visual creatures, but somewhere in our timeline we became obsessed with formatting anything to do with business in a written format. Seems like we’re now coming to our senses. Oh, and also, it’s not compulsory that annual reports have to be so serious, you’re allowed to put across your brand’s personality. This is a great example by Beard Design.
The Creative Review Careers Survey
Creative Review carried out a major piece of research on careers in the marketing and design industries. They surveyed over 3,000 designers and creatives about their career and asked IIB Studio to uncover and visualise the story. IIB Studio took the data relating to designers and creatives and analysed it, looking for the most interesting relationships, patterns and conclusions that could be drawn. They then turned these findings into the visualisations you see here.
Data visualisation: what’s next?
This is a great read on where data visualisation is now and where Christian Thumper thinks the focus will be going. Data visualisation are forever shifting and changing as the data climate evolves at an ever faster pace. With more data available due to smart devices, our understanding of humans is vitally important in making decisions on how to visualise data in an engaging and educational way.
