In the wake of Covid-19, the Texas Workforce Commission (TWC) launched a statewide strategy to close Texas’ growing middle-skills gap. Shifts in the labour market accelerated demand for roles requiring short-term training rather than four-year degrees, but job seekers lacked clear, accessible pathways to understand where opportunity existed, what skills were needed, and how to act.
TWC needed a scalable, digital solution that could guide people from curiosity to career action — and continue to evolve as labour-market conditions changed.
infogr8 designed, delivered and continues to service a career pathways mobile application, placing career intelligence directly in the hands of Texans.
The app provides a simple, intuitive experience that allows users to explore curated occupations tailored to their background, interests and skills. For each pathway, users can clearly see required skills, salary ranges, credentials and experience — and connect directly with workforce training advisors across the state. Newly introduced APIs from our partners at Lightcast allow users to directly apply to live roles. Becoming both exploration and action.
Crucially, the platform operates as a managed service, underpinned by an service level agreement, with ongoing performance monitoring, data updates and continual optimisation. This ensures the experience remains relevant, reliable and responsive to changing workforce demand, rather than a one-off launch.
