CPI needed to communicate complex, highly technical climate finance data to a global audience – without compromising rigour or credibility and enabling users to explore the breadth of the data easily. Their platforms track global net zero investment, monitoring nearly 1,500 financial institutions across 67 countries, representing about $286 trillion in assets – helping inform policy, investment, and decision-making.
They faced three key barriers:
Inherited infrastructure and data pipelines limited flexibility, scalability, and performance.
The data was analytically thorough, technical, and constantly evolving. CPI needed visualisation approaches that improved understanding to a wider audience while maintaining rigour.
CPI wanted to manage and update their platforms independently – and needed a trusted partner who could understand, consult and deliver the full scope of requirements across, UX, data and design.
The transformation didn’t begin with a dramatic redesign or a single plug-in feature.
Instead, we focused on incremental improvements to the existing experience – demonstrating measurable gains in clarity and usability. This built trust and created momentum for change.
From there, we co-created a fully designed experience grounded in:
This collaborative process revealed that thoughtful design could deliver far beyond the initial requirements, unlocking broader value across teams and stakeholders.
Just as importantly, CPI gained the tools, confidence, and ownership needed to sustain and evolve the platforms long term.

Two platforms designed for clarity and long-term impact:
By transforming how climate finance data is presented and maintained, CPI can communicate insights more effectively to policymakers, financial institutions, and climate stakeholders worldwide.
Even from the proposal stage, infogr8 added value. They asked questions that reflected their expertise in data visualisation, UX/UI, and the technology stack we were using. In the process, infogr8 earned our admiration and respect, and we will absolutely be working with them again on future projects.
